Profile
Guoer Liu's research interests lie in Chinese political institutions and the politics of data. She focuses on bureaucracy, delegation strategies, and the political determinants of automated administrative data. One line of her work explores how political influences distort the technological infrastructure underlying automated air quality data in China. She also has a separate strand of research in political methodology, with a particular interest in causal inference, surveys, and field experiments.
