Language Requirement:

Political Science students who pursue the Political Science - International Affairs/GPS Master of International Affairs joint program need to be aware of the program's language requirement, as all other Political Science majors do not require a language. If a student has not started an Asia-Pacific language by the first quarter of their senior year, they will have a full six quarters to reach required proficiency—three as a senior and three as a graduate student. Any language course taken as an undergraduate can be taken for P/NP or a letter grade of C- or better. For courses taken as a graduate student, they must be letter graded and they need a B or better in the sixth quarter.

Major Checklist:

In order to plan out your Political Science - International Affairs major and remaining courses effectively, please utilize the Major Checklist below. The document is a fillable PDF; students are encouraged to review their plan and progress within the Political Science-International Affairs major with the Department's Undergraduate Advisor, and the School of Global Policy and Strategy Requirements for the Senior (4th) Year and 5th Year with Dr. Nancy Gilson, Director of Academic Degree Programs for the School of Global Policy and Strategy.
