With permission of the Department's Director of Graduate Studies, a student that has received a graduate degree in political science at another institution may count up to two quarter-course equivalents (taken at other institutions) toward the eighteen-course requirement, including the core curriculum. Typically, we only allow credit for "skills" courses, such as statistics or game theory. The rest of our curriculum is highly specialized and not substitutable.
