Whether you are a UC San Diego alum or a generous supporter of the Political Science Department, you no doubt understand the value of higher education and faculty research. Your gift, no matter how large or small, enables us to better serve the community and to better fulfill the University objectives of teaching and research.  

Giving back is a unique opportunity because, for the first time on campus, a special fund has been established to help numerous initiatives and programs that directly support the students and faculty of t he Department of Political Science.  Your gift to the this fund will enable our faculty and students to take advantage of unique opportunities that have no other sources of funding.  These initiatives include:                                                             

• Programs for supporting creative undergraduate research projects, allowing honors students the opportunity to conduct extensive research under the mentorship of faculty and graduate students, and to enable top students to participate in national research competitions;

• Internships at local businesses or government agencies to provide undergraduate students applied business experience to complement the the Department curriculum; and

• Establishing Research Centers to support and promote research in specific fields and, in particular, those that are of great importance to the region.

UC San Diego's Department of Political Science produces individuals who take on important social challenges and who work to solve the most complicated political science issues.  With your support, these remarkable people will become the leaders who improve the future for us all.
