Kirk Bansak

Assistant Professor of Political Science

Kirk Bansak is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at UC San Diego, as well as a faculty affiliate of the Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute at UC San Diego, a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for Comparative Immigration Studies at UC San Diego, and a faculty affiliate of the Immigration Policy Lab at Stanford University and ETH Zurich. His research focuses are in political methodology and political economy, with a special emphasis on immigration policy. His research has appeared or is forthcoming in Science, Political Analysis, Journal of Politics, Statistical Science, Political Science Research and Methods, Nature Human Behaviour, and Journal of the Royal Statistical Society: Series A. He received his PhD in political science and MS in statistics from Stanford.
