Richard G. Kronick

Professor of Family and Preventive Medicine/ Adjunct Professor of Political Science

Kronick is a nationally recognized specialist in health care policy. In 1993-94, he was a Senior Health Care Policy Advisor in the Clinton Administration, where he contributed to the development of President Clinton's proposal for health care reform. His articles have appeared in such journals as the American Journal of Political Science, The New England Journal of Medicine, and the Journal of the American Medical Association. He has served as Director of Policy and Reimbursement in the Massachusetts Department of Public Welfare and the Assistant Director in the Massachusetts Office of Health Policy.

Since January 2010, Kronick is serving as Deputy for Health Policy to the Assistant Secretary for Policy and Evaluation at HHS.
