The Department of Political Science is committed to excellence in research and education. As part of this, we welcome visiting scholars and instructors from around the world to collaborate with our faculty and teach our students in order to enhance the vibrant intellectual community and pedagogical diversity on campus.
The Department's Visiting Scholars Program provides opportunities for qualified scholars from around the world to collaborate with our faculty, access research resources, and participate in UCSD events. We are no longer accepting applications for the current year. To be considered for a visit commencing next academic year, complete application files must be received by December 1. More information for interested applicants and current visitors is available on our Visiting Scholars page.
Faculty and scholars who are interested in teaching in the Department as Lecturers or Visiting Professors are invited to submit applications. Appointments are based on the qualifications of the candidates and the department's instructional needs in a given year. We are currently no longer accepting applications for the 2009/10 academic year, but those interested in future opportunities are invited to review our application procedures.
